Desert Dash Dusk-To-Dawn: 12 Hour Endurance & 10K Event - Pending

• 12 Hour Endurance Event: This endurance event will take place in the beautiful desert hill of McCoy Flats.  Participants will run a 10K (6 mile loop course) from dusk until dawn.  Runners will start their journey late in the afternoon, around dusk, run during the night and finish at the dawn of the next day.  

Runners will get the privilege of seeing the beautiful desert landscapes of McCoy Flats at dusk and dawn.  During the night the course will be lit up by LED lights to help guide runners on the trail.  Participants will run the 6 mile trail loop as many times as they can in 12 hours.  If the runner does not complete a loop before the 12 hours is over that loop will not count.  The runner that completes the loop the most times in 12 hours wins.  

• 10K Event: This event is pure speed and grit.  Participants will run the same 10K (6 mile) loop that as the 12 hour endurance runners. The first runner to complete the course wins!      

• Course Record Prize: When a course record is broken, the runner who sets a new course record will receive a cash prize.  For the 12 hour endurance event a course record prize will be given to the runners who completes the course the most in 12 hours.  For the 10K event course record prizes will be given to both male and female who set or break a course record.

      • Packet pickup at the McCoy Flats Corral area Friday afternoon from 5 to 6 and Saturday evening from 5 to 6:30.
